New profile picture 📸

I chose as my new profile picture a shot of Bartek Pawlik taken in San Diego (USA) during the first day of Sprint at DjangoCon US 2022.

During DjangoCon US 2022 in San Diego (USA) Bartek Pawlik (the official photographer of the conference) took this beautiful photo of me that I decided to use as my new profile picture.

I like the photo because it captures in one shot many things that I think represent me, like the fact that I’m traveling for a conference, wearing my speaker badge and wearing one of my favorite T-shirts from a Django Girls workshop held in Italy.

Bartek did a great job because even if it may not be noticeable from the shot, at that moment I was very tired from the transcontinental flight to get to San Diego, the 9-hour jet lag, the 3-day conference, and a talk presented the day before. Also that morning we had woken up very early to go swimming at dawn on Ocean Beach in San Diego as I told in my article “About my proposal for the Django Core Sprints 🌅”.
